What I teach

Biblical texts and topics

I most enjoy teaching verse by verse (exegetically) through a single passage at a time. I’m glad to choose texts that fit the theme you’ve chosen (like joy, beauty, etc.) or start from scratch with us asking the Lord together what He would have us learn. Exploring a single book of the Bible in a weekend in another great way to go.

Foundations for the life of faith
  • How to read the Bible (and love it): 1-3 sessions
  • Knowing (and being confident in) the Bible’s Big Story: 1-4 sessions
  • How to begin and grow in prayer: 1-3 sessions
  • How to think about suffering in light of God’s goodness: 1-3 sessions
My story

One of the defining seasons of my life came when I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis after 10 years of progressive pain. Through 15 months of therapy, the Lord showed Himself to be sufficient in the face of my fear, doubt, physical pain, and darkness. I’ve now been in remission from a technically incurable disease for 5 years, and the lessons the Lord wrung from the my season of difficulty have made me in many ways a new creation.

Topics include abiding in God’s Word, applying it through prayer, loving the family of faith, and surrender to God’s providential love (1-4 sessions)

Who I teach

I love the holy space of teaching women. It’s the bulk of my years of service, and the place I feel most at home. But I also consider it a real privilege when I get to serve in other settings as well.
