Fewer moments in life make me more misty-eyed than weddings. It’s a holy moment– a never to be repeated, once-in-a-lifetime kind of sacred.
Every now and then, I get the honor of creating a remembrance of the day– something like the Ebenezer stones that kept watch for the holy moments of Israel; an artifact testifying that something monumental happened, and we should never lose the awe.
Slips of paper bearing words and signatures from guests are assembled to create a “guestbook” of sorts that hangs on the wall rather than sits on the shelf. The paintings can either be created with blank spaces for signing at the wedding, or the slips can be written by guests and assembled later (as you’ll see in the video).
